Chinese, Polish FMs discuss Ukraine crisis

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorski exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine by phone Wednesday.

Wang said China supported the mediation efforts of the international community and hoped a political settlement could be found soon so the legitimate rights of all ethnic groups in Ukraine could be guaranteed, escalation of tensions avoided, and regional peace and stability safeguarded.

Sikorski said Poland would maintain contact with China in an effort to find a political settlement.
