Special representatives from China and India are meeting in the Indian capital New Delhi for the 17th round of talks on border issues. The talks are co-chaired by Chinese State Councillor Yang Jiechi and Indian National Security Adviser Shiv Shankar Menon.

The border issues between China and India are problems left over by history. China and India had a border conflict in 1962 and the two countries share a 2,000 kilometers long border that has not been formally marked. The two sides have already scored achievements in easing tensions in border areas while sharing the consensus of working together to ensure peace and security. The new round of talks will last three days from Monday to Wednesday.
