Fire department stresses safety of setting off firecrackers

China's fire department has warned the public to only buy fireworks from authorized sellers and set them off in specified places, ahead of the annual Spring Festival firework feast.

The department under the Ministry of Public Security also warned relevant organs to check fire-fighting equipment and be swift in their response to fire.p People should maintain order in crowded places such as ticket offices, entrances and exits, be clear about the location of emergency exits and keep away from dangerous sites.
