Sex scandal trial

A trial which has pitted Peking University and a local restaurant against a former university professor was held at a district court of Beijing on Monday, after the professor claimed other faculty staff had sexual encounters at the restaurant, prompting the university and the restaurant to sue him for libel.

Zou Hengfu, 52, published the claims on his Sina Weibo account in 2012.

The university and the restaurant filed the lawsuit against Zou, demanding a retraction and apology. The verdict is still being considered.
