China's Railway and Civil Aviation systems have now worked out measures to cope with the rush.

The most crucial test for China's transport has begun. And China's Railway system has decided to expand its transport capacity to meet the demands.

China Railway Corporation says it will strengthen the security checks for online-booking websites, and stop the influx of ticket scalpers.

"The current transporting capacity can not fully meet the travel rush demands. In certain regions, there are still difficulties to secure the tickets." Lian Weiliang, deputy director of China Nat'l Development and Reform Commission, said.

Meanwhile, more than 40 million flights are expected by China's Civil Aviation sector. An increase of ten percent compared to last year.

The flight peak is expected to come within three days before Spring Festival, at the end of this month.

Tickets in major cities like Beijing, and Shanghai have almost been sold out, in some cities, there are only first-class tickets available.

To cope with the demands, more than 12 thousand flights will be added, including five hundred cross-strait flights and 800 international flights.

China's Civil Aviation authority loosened its control on the price of air tickets last year, and the price of air tickets remains almost the same, with a ten percent increase in certain airlines.
