Plate lottery upgrade

According to Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport, the lottery system for the car license plate quota has been updated and many new functions are available, the Beijing Times reported.

Car license applicants can now check how many times they have attempted the license plate lottery and their chances of future success. According to the transportation department, the more unsuccessful attempts one has experienced, the higher their chances of winning in the next lottery.

Other new functions include bringing online the process of getting a license plate for a new energy car, from application to qualification audit and lottery.
