Weibo accounts top 1.3b

A senior official of the State Internet Information Office Wednesday said that the number of China's Weibo accounts stand at as many as 1.3 billion as of the end of November.

Liu Zhengrong, deputy chief of the office under the State Council, said at a tea reception held at the People's Daily with major media Weibo operators that there are a total of 37,000 media Weibo accounts in the Sina and Tencent portals.
