The second batch of Chinese aid for survivors of Typhoon Haiyan has arrived in the central Philippine city of Cebu. The relief aid was handed over to the Philippine Department of Social Welfare and Development at the airport. Some of the aid will be sent to Tacloban, the worst-hit city in the Central Philippines.

The 10 million Yuan in humanitarian relief goods provided by China has all arrived in the country. The aid includes over 2,000 tents and 10,000 blankets.

"The official from Philippine welfare department says the tents and blankets are badly needed for the survivors and they will quickly distribute them. Typhoon Haiyan has raised great concerns from the international community. China acts with compassion and kindness, and is willing to offer a helping hand to typhoon victims." Wu Zhengping, counselor of Chinese Embassy to Philippines, said.
