Jump from official building ruled suicide

A private entrepreneur jumped off the 15th floor of an official building of Xiangtan, Hunan province on Tuesday afternoon and died, the Xinhua News Agency reported. Wang Jianzhong, 61, was the board chairman of the Hunan Hengdun Group, a company that produces bamboo products.

Police examined the dead body and indicated suicide was the probable cause of the death, rather than foul play.

Wang's daughter said that Wang went to the city government to apply for a project after he had made previous unsuccessful application attempts, The Beijing News said.
