New high-speed rail smoking ban

A new railway safety regulation stipulated that anyone caught smoking on a bullet train will be fined up to 2,000 yuan ($326.7), starting from January 1, 2014.

Smoking on a bullet train is prohibited but a series of incidents took place during the National Day holiday.
