HK Chief Executive to visit Chongqing

Hong Kong Chief Executive C Y Leung will lead a delegation of Hong Kong professionals to visit Chongqing on Sept. 26-27.

Leung will address the Chongqing-Hong Kong Business Symposium and meet with Chongqing Municipal Government leaders.

He will officiate at the relocation ceremony of the Hong Kong Government's Chongqing Liaison Unit, and at the opening ceremony of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council's Chongqing Office. He will also attend the Chongqing-Hong Kong Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Meeting and the Chongqing-Hong Kong Business Luncheon.

Leung and the delegation will visit the Liangjiang New Area and local enterprises the next day, and will meet Hong Kong people studying and doing business in Chongqing.

Leung will return to Hong Kong in the evening of Sept. 27. Chief Secretary Carrie Lam will be Acting Chief Executive during his absence.
