Typhoon Utor made landfall in south China's Guangdong province Wednesday afternoon, local meteorological authorities said.
Utor, the 11th typhoon hitting China this year, landed at 3:50 p.m. in a township in Yangxi county in the city of Yangjiang in western Guangdong, packing strong winds of 151.2 km per hour at the storm center.
