Capital gets crime map

Police in Beijing published a "crime map" on Wednesday and singled out the 19 areas with the highest crime rate, the Beijing Daily reported.

The 19 areas include Yongwai in Dongcheng district, Dashilan in Xicheng district, Zhongguancun in Haidian district and the Xinfadi market in Fengtai district.

Beijing public security bureau vowed to tackle the security issues in these areas. The police also warned of high rates of theft on Beijing Subway Line One and Bus Rapid Transit Line One but said the overall crime rate has declined.
