Flood washes away barge in SW China

A barge was washed away from shore after water levels suddenly rose Monday morning on a river in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, local police said.

Witnesses said several people who were boarding the boat at the time fell into the water.

Rescue efforts are under way.
