China, Brazil to strengthen ties

Chinese President Xi Jinping has discussed boosting Sino-Brazil ties with his Brazilian counterpart Dilma Rousseff.

The two leaders spoke to each other on the phone on Monday and discussed ties between their countries. Both agreed that relations between the two nations had exceeded the limits of bilateral relations with increasing strategic significance and global influence.

The two leaders also agreed to further boost cooperation in financial security.
