Helen Mirren attends Shanghai Int'l Film Festival

Events at the Shanghai International Film Festival are not slowing down; the eastern city has witnessed a galaxy of stars over the past few days. Among them is the one and only Helen Mirren, who appeared at an event on Wednesday to promote her new film "Hitchcock".

The Academy Award winning British actress has taken on an array of challenging roles throughout her illustrious career. Most famous of them all is, of course, her 2006 portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II. And in "Hitchcock" she is also portraying a real person, the legendary film maker's wife, Alma.

Having been married to movie giant Taylor Hackford for 15 years, she can probably find an affinity with the character, leaving the audience with even more expectations about her interpretation of the role.
