HK won't reveal Snowden case unilaterally

Hong Kong (CNS) -- The government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) has attached great importance to the Edward Snowden whistleblowing case and will not unilaterally reveal any details concerning the case at this point, said Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying on Monday.

At a public event, Leung reiterated that the SAR government would handle the Snowden case in accordance with the laws and established procedures of Hong Kong.

The government will follow up on any incidents related to the privacy of institutions or people in Hong Kong that have been violated, Leung added.

Leung stressed that according to established practice, any contact or communication between the Hong Kong government and other governments will not be made public unilaterally.
