3D printing is a process of making a three-dimensional solid objects from a digital model. This technology, many say, would largely reduce costs and accelerate production.

With the development of 3D printing, its cost is expected to drop, making it more accessible. People can easily get their ideas "printed". While, many are hailing the technology as a boost of creativity, there are concerns it may bring violence and more crimes.
The first 3D-printed handgun is an example of this controversy. 3D printing technology also poses a threat to the protection of intellectual property. Regulations will be put in place to monitor this new technology.
