The first patient to contract the H7N9 strain of bird flu in Taiwan is now recovering. Tests show there is no virus in his body now. This is according to the vice president of the National Taiwan University Hospital, where the patient is being treated.
The 53-year-old man from Taiwan was in critical condition when he was first hospitalized. He has since been transferred to an ordinary medical ward to receive further treatment.
