Advantages of Chengdu-Europe line over other routes

This newly-opened line between China and Europe has some clear advantages. Compared with the Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe Line, which was dubbed a new silk road when it started operating last year, the new line is faster by about 2 to 4 days.

Compared with the traditional sea shipping route linking China and Europe, at least one month of journey time is saved. Transporting goods on the new line is about a quarter of the cost of transporting goods by air. After the train arrives at Lodz in Poland, the goods can then be distributed to any place in Europe within 1 to 3 days.
