1.5 bln RMB allocated to affected areas

The Sichuan Provincial Finance Department says the provincial government has allocated 1.5 billion yuan in relief funds to the quake-hit regions. The fund was raised by the central government and Sichuan provincial Finance Department.

It will be used for relief material distribution, medical treatments, relocation and epidemic prevention in the affected areas after the earthquake. The fund will be also used for repairing infrastructure including roads, water and electricity projects as well as public facilities in schools and hospitals.
