In the city's biggest vegetable market, two-thirds of the stands are open for business. Supply and variety are good, giving a confidence boost to local people.
Two days on from the earthquake... and life in Yaan is returning to normal.
In this vegetable market, food prices have stayed the same.
This couple has been running their stall for more than 6 years.
Mr. Chen says his business has not been affected by the earthquake.
Chen Shuitang, Stall Holder, said, "My business is normal despite the earthquake. I'm selling the same amount of produce as before"
Just as we were talking with Mr. Chen, a three-year-old boy ran in front of the camera.
The boy tells us he wants his grandma to see him on TV, because she is worried about him.
He was brought up by his grandma in Shanghai. The earthquake struck just after he arrived in Ya'an.
Cheng Fangli, Boy'S Mother, said, "My home town is Anhui. I want to tell everybody there we are safe. They don't have to worry about us. Take it easy, we are fine."
The little boy says he'll reassure his grandma, by singing a song to her.
Despite the earthquake, lives are moving on.
The whole nation is keeping an eye on the city, and it's quite sure that Ya'an will get through the hard time.
