Three people were sentenced to one to two years in prison after they impersonated journalists and swindled 74,000 yuan ($11,914) from people in a county in Zhejiang Province in 2011, according to Beijing Second Intermediate People's Court Wednesday.
The three, who said they had a cultural communication company, were paid by some government agencies and individuals after they promised they could publicize pollution and illegal demolition cases in the county.
