Chaoyang district prosecutors arrested a homeless man surnamed Zhao under suspicion of stealing articles from people in hospitals, the Legal Mirror reported Wednesday.
Zhao usually slept in hospitals in Chaoyang district. On December 20 last year, he stole a cellphone from a man who was taking care of his sick grandfather. The theft was caught by a surveillance camera in the hospital.
Zhao was recognized by a security guard when he came to sleep in the hospital eight days later. He confessed that taking advantage of sleeping in hospitals, he stole cellphones, wine and packets of rice from wards and doctors' offices.
