A temporary shed at a construction site near Dajiaoting, Chaoyang district, caught fire at 9:30 pm Saturday, but no one was injured, the Beijing Evening News reported Sunday.
A construction worker, surnamed Zhao, said that the sheds provide accommodation for construction workers.
"The flames were up to 10 meters high and were put out in 10 minutes," said Zhao, "luckily, no workers lived there."
Local police are investigating the fire.
