Expressway bridge collapses after truck explodes in China

An expressway bridge partially collapsed after a truck exploded on the bridge Friday morning in central China's Henan Province, local government said.

The explosion, which occurred around 8:52 a.m., caused several vehicles to tumble from the bridge, although the number of casualties is still unknown, the city government of Sanmenxia said.

Sources said the truck was carrying explosives.

Rescue efforts are under way.
