In the Beginning exhibition @ Star Gallery
In the beginning there was Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. But Xu Maomao's take on In the Beginning includes characters trapped in a horrifying menagerie more hell-beant on destruction than creation. Serpents, pipes or perhaps veins seethe in a network of twisted spasms. A tempting strawberry replaces the apple in the eponymous "In the Beginning," and rainbows leap from the canvas like punishing lasers. The collection of 10 new works comes from Xu's efforts of the last two years.

Yangzi's Room exhibition @ White Space
In her first solo show, Chinese artist Yangzi shows her paintings, photographs and video installations from 2008 to today. Beijing-based Yangzi hoped to record moments of her life - with her mother, boyfriend and girlfriends - through art.

Daydream musical @ Oriental Theatre
Bai Yang works as a cleaner in a film academy and has a daydream of being a singer. The musical Daydream includes 19 original songs with a cast of entirely new faces to the stage.
