As league leading Guangdong had a chance to punch their ticket for the post-season with a win over their provincial rivals from Foshan. The Southern Tigers, riding a 10-game win streak coming into this one and with a win over the Long Lions would see the seven-time former champions earn their postseason berth with 8 games to play in the regular season.
Guangdong star Yi Jianlian got off early, scoring the first 8 points for the visitors in the opening q, including this one-handed jam. And the Southern Tigers would continue their strong start as Wang Shipeng drills the three.
Terrence Williams, who had 22 on the night, gave Guangdong a double digit lead as he hits from distance. And early in the second Q, Guangdong would lead by 15, as Yi hits the mid-range jumper.
