CCDI briefs media on probe of corruption cases in 2012

Leaders from the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection briefs the media on the investigation of corruption cases involving party members corruption in 2012.

China has stressed the importance of combating corruption within the party. And anti-corruption watch is rising among Chinese microblogging weibo users. Meanwhile, in his speech at the 18th CPC National Congress, Hu Jintao said "combating corruption and promoting political integrity, is a major political issue of great concern of the people, and is a clear-cut and long-term political commitment of the Party. If we fail to handle this issue well, it could prove fatal to the Party, and even cause the collapse of the Party and the fall of the state."
