Hongshi Daguan New Year exhibition @ Gehua Daguan Art Museum
Featuring Chinese painters such as Cui Ruzuo, Zhang Licheng and Hu Yongkai, this exhibition showcases a variety of genres, says curator Wen Wei. A total of 100 paintings will be on display, from landscapes to calligraphy.

Army of Jade Kirin concert @ Mao Livehouse
Friday night is a landmark show for the band Army of Jade Kirin: its first solo concert since its formation. The band has been quite active at various outdoor music festivals across the country in the last few years. They've made a name for themselves with their blistering, five-piece heavy metal performances. They'll bring their signature sound to Mao Livehouse, where fans can also purchase their albums.

Doug Martin Gypsy Band concert @ Jianghu Bar
American jazz guitarist Doug Martin will bring his Gypsy music stylings to Jianghu Bar this Thursday. He's collaborated with many West-Coast American musicians, including Lulo Reinhard, John Jorgenson, Mike Reinhard and Paul Mehling.
