Seven people were killed and another 14 injured after their bus collided with a truck on a highway in Southwest China's Sichuan Province Thursday morning, the local safety watchdog said.
The 30-seat coach carrying 18 passengers hit a truck around 10:40 am on National Highway No.213 at Renshou county in the city of Meishan, said the county's work safety and supervision bureau.
Five died at the scene, and another two dead on the way to hospital. The 14 others injured were rushed to three local hospitals. It is not yet known if any of their injuries are life threatening, said the spokesman.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
