The Communist Party of China (CPC) has pledged to join hands with South African's ruling African National Congress (ANC) to deepen their inter-party relations.

Wang Qinfeng, deputy head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks when meeting with ANC leader and South African President Jacob Zuma on Sunday at the ANC's 53rd national conference.

He conveyed greetings from Chinese President Hu Jintao and CPC General Secretary Xi Jinping and briefed Zuma on the 18th CPC National Congress held in early November.

Wang also delivered a congratulatory letter from the CPC Central Committee to the ANC National Executive Committee.

During his stay in South Africa, Wang had also held talks with South African Communist Party leader Blade Nzimande, ANC National Chairperson Baleka Mbete, ANC Secretary-General Gwede Mantashe and other party and government officials.

Wang and his CPC delegation were on a two-day visit starting on Friday.
