Former vice premier appointed President of WBFC

Former Chinese vice premier Zeng Peiyan was appointed the President of World Bridge Federation Congress (WBFC) in Beijing on Saturday.

Gianarrigo Rona, President of World Bridge Federation, awarded the appointment certificate to Zeng, who is also consultant of Chinese Contract Bridge Association, at a ceremony held in Beijing.

Zeng's appointment came as a recognition of his great contribution to the development of bridge in China, the World Bridge Federation said.

The World Bridge Federation Congress is held every two years.
