Chinese state councilor meets Myanmar's culture minister

Chinese State Councilor Liu Yandong met with Myanmar's culture minister Aye Myznt Kyo on Monday.

Noting that China and Myanmar are good neighbors, Liu said relations between the two countries had stood the test of the time and become a model of friendship.

She added that the relationship had continued to develop in recent years with frequent high-level visits, increased cultural exchanges and a deepening friendship between the people of both countries.

Liu added that China will provide support to the 27th Southeast Asian Games hosted by Myanmar in 2013.
