The death toll at a construction site that collapsed in Jiuquan City, northwest China's Gansu Province, on Thursday has risen to four, rescuers said Friday.
The accident happened in Suzhou District, Jiuquan, at 9:05 p.m.. Two bodies were found among debris on Friday. Earlier, two workers died on their way to hospital after they were rescued.
Seven injured workers were brought to safety.
Investigators said workers were concreting the ceiling of the building, when the structure collapsed, burying 11 workers.
The construction was a cold storage belonging to a food product company.
The probe into the accident is continuing.
