Taiwan negotiator on cross-Straits affairs says to resign

Chiang Pin-kung announced on Wednesday he will resign from his post as chairman of the Taiwan-based Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) on Sept. 27.

Taiwan authorities have approved his resignation.

Founded in 1990, the SEF is authorized by Taiwan to handle cross-Strait affairs.
