HK chief executive to attend Guangdong conference

Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) CY Leung will attend the 15th Plenary of the Hong Kong-Guangdong Cooperation Joint Conference in Guangzhou on Friday, HKSAR government said in a statement Wednesday.

According to the statement, Leung and Guangdong Governor Zhu Xiaodan will jointly preside over the meeting and meet the media afterwards.

The HKSAR government delegation includes Chief Secretary for Administration Carrie Lam, Secretary for Transport & Housing Anthony Cheung, Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury KC Chan and others.

Leung will return to Hong Kong on Friday evening. During his absence, Financial Secretary John Tsang will be acting chief executive.
