Man on trial for stabbing wife 34 times

Feng Yunping, 57, who stabbed his wife 34 times on her face, neck and body at their home on February 18, stood trial at Beijing No.2 Intermediate Court Wednesday, the Beijing Evening News reported.

Feng married his wife, Li Juan, in 2010 and then installed a listening device inside Li's car, through which he heard that Li's family did not approve of their marriage.

When Li discovered the device, she asked for a divorce. Feng was angry and took two knives from the kitchen and killed Li. He then gave himself up to police.
