The death toll from a flash flood in northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region Saturday noon rose to six as the last missing person was found dead, local authorities said.
The flash flood, triggered by torrential rains in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, washed away nine tourists at a mountain ravine in the Dawukou district of Shizuishan city at 12 p.m., the regional drought relief and flood control headquarters said in a statement.
The three injured have been sent to a hospital for emergency treatment.
Earlier more than 100 police officers and fire fighters were involved in the rescue and search operation.
