    2012-06-25 16:13 Xinhua    comment

Huang Sheng, former vice governor of east China's Shandong Province, was expelled from the Communist Party of China (CPC) for severe disciplinary and legal violations, said the CPC's disciplinary watchdog Monday.

He was also dismissed from all government posts by the State Council, said the Central Commission for the Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of the CPC in a statement.

Huang has been found using his position to seek interests for others, taking a large amount of bribe, and causing massive economic losses, the statement said.

The statement also said Huang was "morally corrupted."

Huang's illegal gains will be confiscated and his case has been referred to prosecutors, according to the CCDI.
