One person was injured and seven others missing Friday after mountain torrents swept their shed away in Yunnan province, local authorities said.
The accident happened in Mingyin township in Naxi autonomous county of Yulong around 8 p.m. Thursday after torrential rains triggered strong mountain torrents that washed a temporary shed with eight workers into the Jinsha River, according to the county government.
A rescue team of 200 people rushed to the site shortly after the accident. The rescue work is still underway.
