A 16-year-old boy in Wuchuan, southern Guangdong Province was arrested for robbing 700 yuan (US$111) from a neighbor, raping his daughter and killing them both.
The teenager surnamed Lin broke into the neighbor's house in the early hours of April 4. He tied up the 70-year-old man and hacked him to death with a knife after robbing his money. Then he raped and killed the man's 14-year-old daughter, today's Guangzhou Daily reported.
Their bodies were found in the evening when villagers tried to help the man's youngest daughter, who was not at home when the murder took place, to enter her locked house. The man's wife was working in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Police arrested Lin in an Internet cafe in Guangzhou on April 6. The teenager has confessed to his crimes.
Villagers said Lin was a normal boy in the village and didn't have any dispute with others. The case is still under investigation, the paper said.
