Soldiers lend a hand to greening tasks

(Ecns.cn) -- Military troops in Beijing will launch a forestation project on April 1, the 28th capital tree-planting day.

The project covers a plain area of 10,000 mu (666.6 hectares) in Daxing and Yanqing and is expected to finish by the end of the year.

The forces will dispatch about 15,000 soldiers, mainly to shoulder the tasks of earth tamping hole-digging and tree-planting.
