Beijing police recover over 60 illegal weapons

(Ecns.cn) -- Beijing Public Security announced success in its February crackdown on illegal weapons and explosives, bj.chinanews.com reported on Friday.

Illegal weapons, gun replicas, controlled knives, kilos of explosives, detonators, and boxes of illegal fireworks were all recovered and more than 180 lawbreakers brought to justice.

The municipal authority offered sentence-reduction for those surrendering themselves or cooperating with police before the end of May. Any violations discovered after that date will bear the full brunt of the law.
