A man stood trial yesterday in Chaoyang district for faking a terrorist attack that sent police scrambling at Beijing Capital International Airport, the Beijing Evening News reported.
The man, surnamed Li, called 110 on September 5 last year and claimed his homosexual partner, surnamed Wang, was on his way to blow Terminal 3 up, the prosecutor alleged. Li, who entered a guilty plea yesterday, said he was trying to stop Wang from leaving him.
