Local villagers are ransacking a demolition site in Tongzhou district to search for antique china, the Beijing Evening News reported yesterday.
The treasure hunters flocked to the site after recent work uncovered porcelain fragments they believe are hundreds of years old. In fact, the site used to be a dumping ground for defective wares.
