Valentine’s Day couples

Some 769 couples in Shanghai have booked timeslots to register their marriages on Valentine's Day next week, up 13 percent year-on-year, according to local civil affairs authorities.

A total of 1,500 couples are expected to register on Tuesday, said authorities, adding that plans are in place to make sure registration work will be carried out smoothly.
