A commuter surnamed Liu had a fireworks scare yesterday morning at Beitucheng Subway Station, Chaoyang district, on Line 10, when a group of people let off a celebratory explosion at the station entrance.
A local resident seeing off some out-of-town relatives let off the salvo, according to the Beijing Evening News. Smog from the blast reportedly entered the subway tunnel, bringing tears to Liu's eyes.
