Seven people were killed and another five injured on Saturday after the bus they were taking crashed with a trailer in east China's Anhui province, local authorities said on Sunday.
The tragedy happened early Saturday when the light bus collided head-on with the container-trailer in rural Nanling county, said a spokesman with the government information office in the city of Wuhu, which administers the county.
The injured were rushed to the hospital, among whom three were severely wounded.
Further investigation is underway.
