An explosion caused by privately stored explosives in north China's Hebei Province early Saturday has left seven people dead and four injured, local authorities said.
The accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. at a village in Xingtang County of Shijiazhuang City, according to a statement from the local publicity department.
Rescue work and investigation into the cause of the accident are underway.
